"Moviez" Movie Check-in Mobile App

Moviez is a movie app for everyone to be able to purchase tickets.

The Project:

We created an app called "Moviez", it is a mobile app that gives users the advantages of purchasing movie tickets on the go, watching movie trailers from the comfort of their homes, and being able to check in without having to stand in line to purchase a movie ticket.

Duration: 4 Weeks

The Problem:
Making an app for everyday users where they can check into the movie without standing in a line as well as watch trailers for the movie they selected to watch.

The Goal:

Designed an app for Moviez that allowed a much smoother way to purchase movie tickets as well as check-in.

Understanding the user
User Research: Pain Points

1

In general, users are not able to make any form of payment for movie purchases.

2

In general, there is no real way to purchase more than one ticket.

3

In general, where is no real way to purchase more than one ticket?

4

In general, this means that not everyone is familiar with the layout or design of the app and changes need to be made.

Low Fidelity Prototype

As you can see, I have paper wireframes that I created to show what my app would look like.

Here is the low-fidelity prototype presented with a simple design with placeholders for where movies would be and icons with text.

Accessibility considerations

1

One particular accessibility consideration that was applied to this design was the choice of color that was used.

2

Another accessibility consideration that was applied to this design was the motions of some of the buttons when pressed for example when you selected the payment button it changed colors.
